@ RISTORANTE VON OETINGER
Vibrant Italian Wedding from Getting Ready until past Midnight.
During getting ready at the brides home, when I was taking some detail shots in the bedroom, I heard horse hoofs outside on the street and I thought to myself, that´s not really possible. Who would ride his horse in town and in this narrow one way street in Erbach.
I looked out the window and there it was: a beautiful wedding horse carriage, a surprise present by the groom to take the bride to church. She started screaming full of joy and excitement.
The ceremony – bilingual, in Italian and German – was as one can expect full of laughter mixed with tears and laughter and took place at the Johanneskirche in Erbach, one of my favourite churches here.
The couples photo session at Kloster Eberbach: We wanted to takes some shots in the Basilika, but were told we could probably not take any as the choir was rehearsing. We tiptoed and only used sign language to communicate.
The couple was taken away by the beautiful music and started dancing to the melodies that echoed in the quiet Basilika.
We took a few beautiful shots with the choir as backdrop.
The celebrations took off immediately when we came back to the location Ristorante Von Oetinger, dances that started during the afternoon, interrupted by the courses of the evening dinner and emotional speeches and then dances again ….
Location: Johanneskirche Erbach im Rheingau
