Texas meets Germany ….

After years of traveling back and forth this wonderful couple decided to get hitched in December in Frankfurt at the Römer Standesamt.

We had hoped for a white Christmas, to take some “wintery” photos around the Christmas market and around the city. But it was mild, which in the end was good too. The families were a fantastic mix from Germany, Mexico and the United States. We spoke three languages amongst us: Mexican Spanish, Texan English and German.

One moment caused a lot of laughter when I spoke to the bridesmaid in German, mistaking her blue-eyed looks for being German, but she was from Texas and gave me this polite but blank look, almost embarrassing and everyone cracked up laughing.

We met beforehand to shoot the “first look”, a very emotional moment on the crowded Römer in-between the Christmas market.

Even though we only met briefly for the wedding photography we still remain friends and keep following each other.
