SURPRISE PROPOSAL @ CASTLE SCHÖNBURG

Un-staged love story in candid moments

Late on Thursday evening I got a call and I picked up the phone even though it was way past my “business hours”. It was the excited mother of a young man who planned a surprise proposal for his girl friend at Castle Schönburg in Oberwesel in the Middle Rhine valley. She asked me if I was available – the next day. Ummm I said, I´m afraid I´ve got a wedding tomorrow. Oh no, she said, we really want you, please make sure you can make it.

After a few phone calls back and forth between all involved in the secretive orangising, they were able to move their time of the planned proposal further ahead. That way I was able to drive out there directly after my wedding to be able to hide in the garden of the Castle in time to secretly shoot the proposal in candid shots.

The authentic un-staged love story in candid moments was followed by a fun couple session around the castles garden and epic roof terrace. It was all amazing and quite emotional.
Then we entered the restaurant where as a further surprise both families were waiting and congratulating the both of them.

Needless to say I loved it and so did the couple and their both families from Chicago and Seattle.
